Adopt-a-Highway Cleanup Activity

Jeremy Bethancourt, our TARPS (transportation and roadway pedestrian safety) section chair will be assisting a BSA Troop 194 in cleaning up a mile of Highway 89 this Saturday, 11/28/2020 as part of the ADOT Adopt-a-Highway program. Come join us work off those Thanksgiving seconds with a socially distanced, outdoor event. See below for event details.

President’s Message

Arizona ASSP Members,

Halloween is an exciting time for adults and children alike. We get to dress up in costumes, and go trick or treating around the neighborhood with our family and friends. Unfortunately, this year many of those activities can lead to the spread of COVID-19. This year Halloween might look quite a bit different.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) put out some  guidelines to help parents plan a safe celebration for their kids.  Many traditional Halloween activities can be high-risk for spreading viruses. There are several safer, alternative ways to participate in Halloween. If you may have COVID-19 or you may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, you should not participate in in-person Halloween festivities and should not give out candy to trick-or-treaters.
