Topic: Beyond OSHA’s Top 10: What ADOSH & Consultation Data Are Telling Us
Description: As the federal fiscal year comes to a close, new enforcement and consultation data provide safety professionals with an opportunity to see where workplace safety programs are succeeding—and where gaps continue to exist. This technical session will examine workplace safety trends through three distinct lenses: Federal OSHA’s Top 10 most frequently cited standards, ADOSH’s Top 10 cited standards, and the Top 10 hazards identified through ADOSH Consultation services. Rather than simply reviewing lists of violations, we will compare national enforcement trends with Arizona- specific citation data and proactive field observations. Where do the lists overlap? Where do they differ? And perhaps most importantly, what hazards are consultation professionals finding in workplaces before they result in an inspection, citation, or incident? Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of current enforcement and hazard trends and practical ways to use this data to evaluate their own safety programs, identify potential blind spots, and prioritize prevention efforts for the coming year.
Learning Objectives:- Compare Federal OSHA’s Top 10 cited standards with ADOSH citation data to identify similarities, differences, and Arizona-specific trends.
- Evaluate the differences between enforcement citations and hazards identified through ADOSH Consultation to recognize potential gaps that traditional compliance metrics may overlook.
- Apply current enforcement and consultation data to prioritize inspections, training, program improvements, and hazard-control efforts within their own organizations.
