Title: Fleet Safety from an AZDPS Perspective: Preventing Citations and Collisions

Description: This technical session will provide safety professionals with a behind-the-scenes look at commercial motor vehicle (CMV) inspections and fleet management from the perspective of the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Participants will gain insight into what commonly triggers CMV inspections, safety features that often go unchecked, and driver requirements that are frequently overlooked yet can create liability for employers. Real-world examples will highlight common mistakes found during inspections that have led to serious incidents. The presentation will also address what safety professionals need to know to strengthen compliance programs, reduce risk, and prevent costly citations and collisions
