Bio: Brian Downen is the Safety Program Manager for the Water Services Department at the City of Glendale where he oversees the safety and health for over 200 employees in nineteen divisions including three water treatment plants and two wastewater treatment plants. Brian began his safety career as an Occupational Safety Consultant at the Arizona Department of Corrections and worked as a Compliance Safety and Health Officer at the Arizona Department of Occupational Safety and Health. Brian has a degree in Occupational Safety and Health and is an OSHA-authorized outreach trainer for construction and general industry.
