AZASSP January Technical Meeting

This month’s guest speaker is: Jeremy Aschemeier, Operation Support Manager / General Superintendent with Willmeng Construction.
Topic: Mr. Aschemeier will cover the key stages of Steel Erection, from initial design concepts to project completion, emphasizing common and best practices to ensure the structure’s strength and project efficiency. Safety will be a key focus of the meeting, highlighting its vital role in the project’s success and the benefits of a robust safety plan. Additionally, he will address common hazards and errors in the erection process, including issues with deferred submittals, erection drawings, and project flow.
Bio:
Jeremy Aschemeier is a seasoned construction professional with 27 years of industry experience. He graduated from Archbold High School in 1998 and has since built an extensive career in construction.
Career Highlights:
- Journeyman Experience: Proficient as a cement finisher, carpenter, and block/brick mason.
- Project Management: Successfully managed multimillion-dollar commercial construction projects as a Superintendent.
- Leadership Role: Prior to joining Willmeng Construction, Jeremy managed the self-performed concrete division and served as a General Superintendent for a decade.
The Construction Section of AZASSP will be meeting from 1pm-2pm following the chapter’s monthly technical presentation. This is part of an initiative to revitalize our Construction Section.
