Topic – Partnering with contractors for safety excellence

Ron Gantt is a Certified Safety Professional with over 20 year’s experience in industries such as construction, utilities, and chemical manufacturing. He is currently the Vice President of EHS for Beale Infrastructure. Ron has undergraduate degrees in Occupational Safety & Health and Psychology as well as graduate degrees in Safety Engineering and Resilience Engineering.

Presentation Description – Use of contractors and other third parties is extremely common in today’s day and age. It’s often a necessary aspect of many industries and is required to maintain competitive advantages. Unfortunately, many safety professionals know that use of contractors also can create new challenges and even introduce risks. This presentation will review one organization’s approach to partnering with contractors to avoid some of these traps and lead to safety excellence.
