March Technical Meeting ***New Location***

Join us for our March Technical Meeting at Gateway Community College’s Central City Campus!

Lunch catering will be provided by fan favorite Carolina’s Mexican Food!!!

Trades Instructor extraordinaire Alan Gaiser will be giving us an overview of welding. Discussion will include an explanation of the various types of welding, hazards associated with those types of welding, discussion of bad habits/common unsafe practices that you may find during an inspection of work processes. The technical meeting will also include a walkthrough of the college’s welding lab to illustrate those things you may never see unless you’re welding – because you don’t want flash burn, right?!?!?!

We are also preparing a potential short course in welding and welding safety that will include some classroom discussion and hands-on activities over a day and a half. More details will follow as they are finalized. We will be applying for CEUs/Recertification Points for the course.
