AZASSP June Technical Meeting FY23

Join us for our final chapter technical meeting of the 2022-2023 year.

We will be presenting the Safety Professional of the Year award as well as the Executive of the Year award!

This month’s technical speaker will be Laura Lawless, Partner, with Squire, Patton, and Briggs. She will be talking about the recent changes other states have made in labor laws to allow younger children to work and what implications that would potentially have for the workforce in Arizona. Laura Lawless is a trial lawyer who represents employers before federal and state courts and administrative agencies, as well as in arbitration and mediation proceedings, defending employers in matters arising under federal and state employment laws, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and breach of contract, as well as in noncompetition, nonsolicitation, nondisclosure, trade secret and unfair competition cases.
